Reviewer Comments: A bit about myself so you can relate this to yourself. I’m 28, 5′7″, 160lbs. I try to eat right and I’ve never been over weight or anything. I’ve been living in cities for the past six years so I walk a lot. While I was in grad school, I went to the gym 1-3 times a week. I moved back home from Tokyo last month and didn’t want to get a gym membership, so that led me to the Total Gym.

Chuck Norris does not lie. This thing works! Quality is good for the price and I feel it will last for a reasonable amount of time. If you use it daily, and follow the directions, you will feel it burn and you will tone up. Example: at the top setting, if you do say, the bench press exercise, it’s only about 1/4 of your body weight. At the gym I was benching my body weight on the machines. But if you follow the routine, go nice and slow, it’s a really really good work out. I sweat. I have actually seen more results than when I was going to the gym. All of my muscles are toned, there is some muscle building, my stomach has gotten leaner. The thing is, you have to commit to it, and you have to follow the workout directions. If you try to go really fast, it’s useless. 30 minutes a day is all it takes and you will see some results. Good product.

Any exercise is better than no exercise. But i would also suggest alternating. Or you could just work out hard for 20 minutes and then slow it down for the next 20 minutes…that would be the best even though it isnt one of the answers you listed. by doing this you will be able to increase your workout each week and do a longer intense workout building up to a full 40 minutes of intense.

    Thanks,
    Lisa
