: I was sporting the ‘07 version yesterday on a road event when the engineers at Bell came to my rescue. Did probably the stupidest thing I could when I came upon a puddle through an open building at a full gallop; jumped the front wheel to avoid splashing myself. Wheel came down, slipped on slime, and the adventure began.
First the hip, then shoulder, and finally the brain bounce. GPS gear was somewhat wasted, but otherwise no damage. And none to my noodle, thankfully. Sore neck, collar bone, and hip; nothing Advil and ice-packs can’t handle. But I can honestly say that if this helmet didn’t save my life, it did save me from a life of a zucchini. And this was at 20mph. When I see motorcycle riders going commando I really wonder about their thought processes.
So into the trash stream goes this one (always recommended no matter how minor the damage), and another Bell Beauty is on it’s way.
