Reviewer Comments: Aerosol dry shampoos are essentially 1/100 of the amount of powder you get in this bottle, mixed with some aerosol, alcohol, a bunch of other crazy chemicals, and a hefty $18-36 price range. My reason for not washing my hair so much is to avoid drying it out… so why spray alcohol on it?I have dry, crimpy, wavy hair. In order to keep it straight and soft, I wash, condition and blow dry every Monday and Thursday or Friday, with an occasional extra washing for special circumstances. Sometimes I use a smidge of powder the second day, and I always use more on the third day of not washing my hair with water.I tie my hair up and cover it for my shower and then after my regular routine I comb my med-dark hair out and start on the left side of my part. I sprinkle some powder across my left hand fingertips, and then tap and shake my hair just on the left of my part. At this point, it is slightly white. If it’s extra oily, I’ll do this again moving my fingers down as I tap and shake my hair. Then I take about a 1/2 in piece on the left side of my somewhat thin hair, and I flip that up and over the right side, essentially revealing a new, oily part. I sprinkle powder across my fingertips and tap and shake all around that part. I flip another piece up and repeat that all the way down section by section. Then I flip it back, and do the same down the right side and a little in the back.I do show a little white at this point, but my hair and my head feel fresh and smell great. After I quickly run my hot straightener through a few sections, you totally cannot tell that I didn’t wash my hair. The best thing about this is that after having done this for quite some time, my hair doesn’t produce so much oil because I am not stripping it everyday in the shower. In fact, this powder has vitamin e and other delicious ingredients. Because my hair is retaining all its moisture, it isn’t as susceptible to humidity – which is life changing (being dramatic… but seriously!). A [$] dollar bottle lasts forever, and my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. It’s definitely not a quick fix in the morning for me as a brunette, because I need the flat iron to make the white go away, but I would need that anyway to touch my hair up, so it’s actually not that much extra of a step, and is quicker than washing, blow drying and straightening. I will live by this product for as long as I can currently tell. I love this stuff…this is the stuff!
